2.5 Growth Strategy — keeping the bands

Apply to categories writes the bands into category columns 4 and 5 — GROWTH X for the current period and GROWTH Y for the earlier one — so you can use them anywhere a category works: as a Dynamic Reports axis, a filter or a widget.

  1. Decide whether to keep them

    Tick Keep after the next import to stop the overnight import overwriting the bands. Leave it unticked if you only need them for today.

  2. Apply

    Click Apply to categories. You are told how many records will be stamped before anything is written.

This replaces what columns 4 and 5 hold

If either column is one you maintain yourself (Me, here on the Categories page), the write is refused rather than overwrite your groupings.
